Yeah this morning when i went to turn on my computer it was booting up and then it shut its self off and i got a blue screen and it says error message windows prevented its self from starting due to causing problems on your pc. And last time the only way around this was to go on safe mode and copy my stuff to a usb and restore my pc to the day i got it, thankfully it worked now but i don't want to get this problem again what can i do?

Every time I open my computer, I get a message box saying "Windows Explorer has stopped working" (option: cancel box, loading bar), then it goes away and a new one comes up right after that saying "Windows Explorer is restarting.." (option: cancel box, loading bar). It is now that the desktop refreshes itself, and then i get a Problem Solving with Windows box, or something like that, not sure if that's right, and it is a continuous loop that happens about every 5 seconds. I can't do system restore because my computer didn't have any restore points saved before this happened. I've looked through Programs and Features but there is nothing saying something like WINDOWS WARNING (mentioned in other forums), or anything that I have gotten recently. I've seen in other forums that you do something with control, alt, delete, but I don't fully understand what they are trying to say.. I can't find a solution to this. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!
p.s.- This doesn't occur in safe mode. Also, I don't have the disk for Windows Vista (I'm using Home Premium), because I bought it with it already on there.
please please please help me!

Ok I posted a while ago this same question:

After using malware-bytes, TDSSkiller, and following the instructions on multiple different websites using multiple different anti-malware/spyware tools I still cannot get rid of this search engine redirect problem.
I ran TDSSkiller, it took out one file, and then told me to restart. I figured, "cool, my problem is fixed", only to find that the problem was still there even after TDSSkiller ran.
I tried running through Malware-bytes once again, along with AVG, and spybot, all of which only removed cookies. Search engine redirect is still there.
In addition to this problem, i am unable to boot into safe mode for unknown reasons. Every time i try to boot into safe mode, my computer automatically shuts down after i choose to boot into ANY of the safe modes.
For some background information, I used to have an nvidia 8800 GT OC installed via PCI-express slot, but the slot broke. I removed the video card because the slot no longer worked, and my PC started working after i removed the video card from the broken slot.
Could the broken PCI-express slot be the reason my computer is broken now? It doesn't seem like it would cause this type of problem.

Hello, I am new here to TechRepublic. I heard that there are pros here that can really help out.
Situation: IE won't finish loading. I click IE on my desktop, it opens the window like normal, but it will not load my homepage (Yahoo!). I ran a scan with MalwareBytes, it detected a single Trojan. Quarantined. Then, I ran MalwareBytes in safe mode; clean scan. Rebooted to Normal mode. I ran Glary Utilities and CCleaner; deleted temp internet files, regular files, etc. I'm feeling pretty good, then I click on IE. It still will not load the home page. It freezes. In the tab when IE is loading you'll notice a little infinity ring with a light rotating right? Well, with me the light is trying to go around the ring and it's lagging, not froze, but lagging. I'm looking forward to some solutions.
Thanks.
-Windows XP SP3
-Dell Dimension 4800

Ok well to start off i have a computer that's about 5 years old. I only had one user account set up on it and whenever i turned the computer on i had it set up to automatically log into the account. I recently was doing a virus scan on it using Avast and the virus scan went fine and completed ok and everything. Now when i try to turn my computer on it asks for my username and password. I cant remember the password and tried everything that it could possibly be and still NOTHING!! I've tried turning the computer on in safe mode but it still asks for my password and everything. I'm not the greatest with computers and only know the basics of them so if anyone could help that would be great........!~~~~~~~~

Please help, I cannot do downloads, and somehow we were able to get Norton 360 on our Dell, but it couldn't pick up the virus, even after a full comprehensive scan, which took literally almost three hours! So please tell me how to remove it. Please no downloads, I cant access the internet on that computer, also I tried the Safe Mode and tried having Malware-Anti Malware bytes, and it just wouldn't let me open the file, no bubble popped up telling me the specific program was infected. Please help!! Also just as a side note: Please make your instructions as detailed as possible.
