I recently bought myself an upgrade for my PC, a retail boxed Quad-Core Intel. The heatsink fan that came with it has some grey pads on the bottom of it, are these as a replacement for thermal grease/paste, or as well as. Also, what would the main differences between using these pads or grease?
Thanks!
(I am not thinking of overclocking, just normal use and some gaming.
I am experienced enough to install a processor and have all of the appropriate equipment, I just have never seen these pads before...)

I run a fully licenced copy of SolidWorks 2007, and I have upgraded my computer to a 750 i% Intel Processor, capable of 64bit on quad chips running at 564 bit.
My question is, does SolidWorks 2007 support 64 bit, is it multithreaded for quad cores. I intend to upgrade from Windows XP sometime, if the software is stable under windows 7 for example.

I have an intel pentium dell that needs a video card upgrade and I am using DDR1 ram sticks. The cards I have been shopping for occasionally pop up with the specs of DDR2 as the video memory. Will the DDR2 on the video card just slow down to the speed of the DDR1 or will the motherboard end up choking and sputtering and get self-conscious that it's not moving as fast as my video card?

I have ordered a ASUS HD 5770 1gb card, however I'm not sure if my PSU will be powerful enough.
My PSU specs are:
iso-480pp 420w
+3.3V - 22.0A
+5V - 36.0A
+12v - 18.0A
My PC specs are:
Intel Core 2 quad Q8200
4gb RAM
If this isn't good enough, will this one http://www.ebuyer.com/product/150596 ?
Any help will be much appreciated.
