I have Lenovo Y430 with Windows Vista home edition. I also have a desktop pc with win XP and HP Photosmart C6183 printer connected to the pc via usb. Internet access is through the router connected to the desktop. I use internet on my laptop through wifi. How do I print a document on my laptop through that printer using wifi ? please give a detailed description and steps to be performed on both laptop and desktop.

My HP dv600 laptop screen got broken and the graphic card is faulthy. But i need all data on its hard drive transfered to my newly bought compaq laptop . How can i do that , any one with an idea? do i need to buy any device to aid that please advice . Thanks

So, my laptop battery (it's a Compaq) has been totally dead (permanently) for almost a year. I've had to keep it plugged in at all times to use it. I just recently got a replacement battery, and I put it in to start charging it while I was using the laptop. However, even though my laptop is plugged in and there is power running to it, it's running on battery power - not power cable (and charging the battery). Any ideas why? Could this be because I have to charge the battery fully first? Also, the battery they sent me as a replacement is an HP battery - it fits in my Compaq just fine and the laptop recognizes the battery and is using what little power it has, but could this be part of the problem? And insight and sources will help, thanks. NOTE: I checked "Power Options" in control panel to see if there was a setting that needed to be changed, but couldn't find anything. Is there another setting that needs to be changed?

My name is jessica, and the other day my sound stopped working. I have a HP Pavillion dv5000 and I am running Windows XP. All of a sudden the volume control disappeared and when I go to the control pannel and try to get to it, it gives me this message: "There are no active mixer devices available. To install mixer devices, go to Control Panel, click Printers and Other Hardware, and then click Add Hardware. This Program will now close" I have been trying to find the driver updates and I just can't get to the right site to fix this problem. What do I need to do? When I ran the driver robot, it came up with 8 other critical updates that I needed, but that the Windows automatic update did not find. I actually accidentl deleted it but i just can'y seem to find the right site to install the proper audio device. please help me.

I just got a hp pavilion (laptop version) dv6000 motherboard, the 434722-001, but it did not come with a CPU chip or fan, so does anyone have an Ebay listing for it? Again it is the 434722-001 motherboard and I have a HP pavilion dv6353cl LAPTOP.

I'm using a HP Pavilion dv2315nr notebook and I recently upgraded to Windows 7. When I finished the upgrade, my internet did not work. When I try to update my 5 drivers dealing with my wireless internet, it says that windows can't find any updates. I also went to HP.com and downloaded all of the drivers that I was able to, but nothing has changed. Could someone please help? I'll vote you as best answer! Thanks so much everyone!

My kitten sat on my key bored, and now the sound doesn't work. I tried pressing the FN key, followed by the sound key, to turn it on/off; but thats not the problem. I went through the control panels, to adjust some settings, but I still can't figure it out. Any ideas? Its a hp windows vista laptop.

I have HP with vista software. my sound works fine, but recently I deleted some program that I have no clue what it is. although sound works fine, when I plug in the headphone or earphone, the sound just comes out the computer, not through the earphone. any suggestions?
