Okay so, one day someone who was using my computer happened to install ALOT TOOLBAR!! great..well since it changed most of my firefox settings, i decided to uninstall it. So i used Firefox's Add-on manager and removed it.....everything seemed to become normal...except that..WHEN I TYPE A SEARCH IN MY "ADRESS BAR"(i always use the adress bar to search and USUALLY it redirects me to google) THE STUPID THING TAKES ME to www.search.alot.com/someshit.php/more SHIT!....i really want to get rid of this..i've tried everything i could...really need help with this one..

Every time i download a program from Firefox, i can not open it. the "download box" comes up, it finishes downloading, then i click on it, click "run" or "save" or whatever the case may be, then message pops up saying with the address, and says "this application can not be found" under it. please help!!

I want to start thinking about my next laptop. I have a Dell XPS M1535 and I really don't love it. I'm not a gamer, but I have many memory-intensive apps open at the same time. If the system would allow it I would have Adobe PS, Illustrator, Flash and Dreamweaver all open along with Firefox, which has terrible memory leaks if you use any plugins. Between all this I need a decent processor and a lot of memory. Macs would be great in theory but are out of the question because of the lack of software. The i5, i7 processors look appealing but they are so new, I don't know if they run hot and/or have other drawbacks, and I'm tempted to wait for the next generation of i7s. Given this usage pattern would you say I should look for a gaming computer? I don't seem to fall in the normal classes (business user, gamer), so often not sure what to look for. There's a new Sony VAIO with an i7 processor that looks kind of appealing. Well, any lines or model suggestions appreciated. Last few times I just bought a laptop without much thought, and this time I want to do better.

i have the most recent firefox, and it said that i need the newest adobe flash player, the thing is i went through the whole download process and restarted my browser, but it still says i need to down load it, but i already did,.................... what do i do?

My keyboard will type when my kids are logged in but will not type when I am logged in under my ID. I have tried programs as well as Firefox and IE. I am sure a program or service is interfering with it but how can I figure out which one it is? The control panel keyboard test says it is working properly. Thanks!

i can play other shows on fancast with firefox. i can also play cbs shows with IE. does anyone know how to fix this so i can watch the shows with firefox.

i am having a problem. whenever i use Internet Explorer, i enter my company system, there is some button i cannot click. whenever i use the latest one, Mozilla Firefox 3.5 above, i open my company system, the menu bar is gone. Is it the upgrade of the new one of Mozilla Firefox is made it become like this or the system is not function well?

So, say i delete my internet history, from firefox, and run CCleaner, is there any other way for someone else on the network to find out my internet browsing history. Through the router, or ISP?

Internet is connected, but the only Internet using-software that works is Internet Explorer. Firefox, Sleipnir, utorrent and many other applications don't work. I don't use any of that proxy stuff and I don't know what the cause is. Thanks for reading and please consider helping me!
