Open Question: My router cuts off my internet periodically, how to fix?

so my Belkin router keeps cutting off my internet for about 2 full minutes every hour or so. why is it doing this and how do i fix this without buying a new router (srsly trolls) . I use windows vista, comcast internet. my router is uptodate on firmware and is using these settings: Firewall Settings Disabled Security Disabled UPnP Enabled Remote Management Disabled WPS Disabled Connection Type Dynamic any suggestions is appreciated
